Compact chassis-mount 350W AC-DC power supplies

XP Power announces the launch of the SMP350 series of rugged AC-DC power suppliss that deliver up to 350W of power and target use in a wide range of equipment in industrial, technology and healthcare applications.

Incorporating built-in fan cooling, screw terminal connections for simple installation and low EMI emissions, the SMP350 series offers easy integration into end equipment, reducing design and manufacturing costs and time to market.

Packaged in a 3.6 x 7 x 1.7-inch enclosure, the series delivers power densities up to 13W/in3 enabling a compact, highly efficient and low-noise solution.

The series is very competitively priced and targets a wide range of applications including automation and process control, broadcast, instrumentation and the energy and utilities sector, as well as offering versions suitable for use in medical equipment that offer reduced earth leakage current of less than 300μA.

The series has a universal 85 to 264V AC input voltage range for use worldwide and offers a range of different models with 12, 15, 18, 24, 28, 36 and 48V DC outputs.

With a wide operating temperature range of –40 to +70°C and full power to +50°C, to meet the vast majority of industrial applications, the series also features class-B EMI emissions compliance and remote on/off capability to simplify system control.

Other key features include a high efficiency resulting in less heat being generated and extended lifetimes; low no-load input power, resulting in reduced power consumption in standby mode; and input to output isolation of 4000V AC with a 2 x MOPP rating.

The SMP350 series is available from Digi-Key, element14, Farnell, RS Components, approved regional distributors, or direct from XP Power and come with a 3-year warranty.
