RS Pro portfolio expanded

RS Components (RS) and Allied Electronics & Automation (Allied), the trading brands of Electrocomponents plc, the global distributor for engineers, have expanded the RS Pro product portfolio and extended its reach to even more customers around the world.

Over 50,000 high-quality, competitively priced products and components are now available globally, providing exceptional value to engineers and professionals across a broad spectrum of industries.

The RS Pro portfolio has been increased by more than 5,000 new products in the past year, with customer input via an in-depth audit helping to shape the product line-up. This expansion will continue with around 500 new products being introduced every month.

At the same time, the product range has been made more easily accessible through RS in the EMEA and Asia-Pacific regions and Allied in the Americas, helping to make customers’ lives easier and simpler in a world where time is paramount.

Commenting on Tata Steel’s use of RS Pro, Rob Choat, Electrical Engineer, said: “The advantage of using RS Pro is that we have maintained the quality of the products but vastly reduced the cost, whilst also having access to a really good range of products, which gives us more choice. This helps me because it is much easier to get requisition orders through when you can show the savings you are making – it makes my job much easier!”

Over a 12-month period RS has calculated that RS Pro alternatives have saved Tata Steel at least £30,000. What’s more, RS has identified a further £13,000 plus of potential savings the firm could make by choosing RS Pro in the future.

Kurt Colehower, President RS Pro, stated: “Working closely with our customers is our number one priority. Choice and quality are the key assets, which is why we are continuing to grow the portfolio at pace with dependable products, and extend its global availability. No other private label brand in our industry provides the breadth and depth of our product range.”

RS Pro builds on the company’s 80-year heritage of providing customers with proven products at competitive prices. All products are backed by the RS Seal of Approval, which represents leading industry standards for audit, inspection, test and certification, giving customers complete confidence in the product.
